Because we specialize in Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) Kei Trucks, Tractors, Spare Parts and Vans, our vehicles are sold as Classic, Exempt, or Antique Vehicles under Federal and State law. Please read this policy carefully before completing your purchase.
1. Vehicle Condition Disclosure (As-Is Nature)
All vehicles sold by Mini Trucks Dealership are Pre-Owned and Aged 25 Years or Older. Due to the age and importation process of these vehicles, they are sold “AS-IS” regarding cosmetic condition, paint fade, minor surface rust, and wear consistent with age.
Odometer Disclosure: These vehicles are EXEMPT from Federal Odometer Disclosure requirements. The mileage shown on the dashboard is the reading upon import from Japan. We cannot verify if the odometer has been replaced, rolled over, or tampered with during its life in Japan. Mileage is NOT guaranteed.
2. The 3-Day / 100-Mile Mechanical Guarantee (Our Promise)
While the vehicle is sold As-Is cosmetically, we stand behind the mechanical integrity of the drivetrain. We offer a Limited 3-Day / 100-Mile Mechanical Guarantee from the time of delivery or pickup.
What is Covered:
Engine: Seized engine, blown head gasket, or cracked block (provided coolant system was not run dry).
Transmission: Failure to shift into forward or reverse gears.
Transfer Case / 4WD System: Failure to engage 4WD (vacuum or manual lever).
What is NOT Covered (Exclusions):
Cooling System Negligence: Overheating due to low coolant or driving with a known bad radiator. Kei truck radiators are small; you MUST monitor the temp gauge.
Fitment/Comfort: “I don’t fit in the cab” or “It’s too slow on the highway.” (Please review dimensions and top speed specs before purchase).
Cosmetics: Paint scratches, dents, torn seats, or cracked dash plastic.
Normal Wear Items: Tires, brakes, belts, hoses, or battery.
Carburetor Tuning: Rough idle due to ethanol fuel or altitude changes.
3. Return Eligibility & Process
If you believe your vehicle has a Covered Mechanical Failure within the first 3 days or 100 miles (whichever comes first), you must follow this process:
Stop Driving Immediately. Continuing to drive a vehicle with a known issue voids this policy.
Contact Support: Email info@minitrucksdealership.com with a detailed description of the issue and photos/videos.
Diagnosis: We reserve the right to have the vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic of our choice within 25 miles of the vehicle’s location.
Resolution Options: If a covered failure is confirmed, we will, at our sole discretion:
Option A: Pay for the repair of the specific failed component up to the purchase price of the vehicle.
Option B: Accept a return of the vehicle for a Full Refund of the purchase price.
4. Buyer’s Remorse / “Change of Mind” Returns
If you decide you simply do not want the vehicle, but it is mechanically sound as described:
You must notify us within 3 Days of Delivery.
You are responsible for Return Shipping/Transport Costs back to our facility.
A 15% Restocking Fee will be deducted from your refund to cover title processing, detailing, and re-listing costs.
5. Title and Paperwork
Due to the import process, titles may take 2-4 weeks to arrive from the state DMV after the sale. This is normal for JDM imports. A delay in receiving the physical title is not grounds for a vehicle return, provided a valid Bill of Sale and Temporary Tag have been issued.
6. Shipping Damage (Important)
If you selected Third-Party Shipping arranged by us:
INSPECT THE TRUCK BEFORE SIGNING THE BILL OF LADING.
If the truck arrives with damage that was not present in our listing photos (scrapes, broken glass, bent bumper), YOU MUST NOTE IT ON THE DRIVER’S PAPERWORK.
DO NOT REFUSE DELIVERY. Accept the truck, note the damage, and contact us immediately. We will file a claim with the carrier. Refusing delivery results in storage fees at the terminal which are the buyer’s responsibility.
